Camming Advice: Tips on How to Flirt on Cam

camming flirting advice tips

We all know that it doesn’t just take taking your clothes off to keep cam members coming back – it’s your conversation and your ways of keeping it fresh and sexy that keeps them interested and keeps the tokens rolling in. Below is a quick and easy guide to flirting on cam! Yes, it might take a little while to get used to “cam flirting”, but once you practice this new skill to perfection, you will quickly reap the rewards!💰

Stages of Cam Flirting

1 – Friendly Banter

Be clothed, but dressed in a provocative way, project realness/”Girl Next Door”, and maintain a flirtatious, playful demeanor. Smile, build a playlist of sexy/sensual music. Engage in small talk, while making subtle gestures indicating that you’re turned on.

2 – Targeted Flirting

Focus on the member you’ve been getting friendly with and treat him like he’s the most interesting man in the world. Ultimately you should make this guy feel good about himself. Step up sexy body language at this point. Mirror his writing style and word usage. After a few minutes of engaging with this guy, start dropping hints you want to “play.” Talk about how horny you are, how much you want to use your toy, etc.

3 – Flirty “Complaining”

If things stay dry for a long period of time, complain that no one wants to pay. This complaining needs to be done in away that still preserves your sexually aroused and playful aura. Never allow yourself look annoyed or discouraged. Say things like: “Come on guys… don’t be so borrrrrring. I wanna have fun tonight!” and “If you guys don’t show me some love, I’m going to have to turn off the cam and go take care of myself.” Keep smiling and continue to engage in provocative body language. Step up by changing positions and standing up. Get a little more aggressive, use humor and keep it playful.

These tips are pretty irresistible and will get you the results you want time after time. 😉

⋆ How Much Money Do Camgirls Really Make?

how much do camgirls make

How much money can you make as a camgirl? This is the most frequently asked question by aspiring webcam models and cam members alike. The answer, of course, varies greatly with which cam site you chose to stream on, how much time you devote to camming, how consistent you are, and your ability to come up with interesting and enticing things to do on cam.

It might be easy to get caught up in the fantasy that becoming a camgirl will make you rich. Just look at the lists of highest tips on both Myfreecams and Chaturbate! However, the reality is a little more complex than that. Yes, it IS possible to make good money being a camgirl simply by streaming a few times a week and maybe selling your videos, however, some girls will still make next to zero being online for hours and some will make bank just by sitting in front of their webcam and chatting to members. What makes some camgirls succeed and others fail will be covered in a later post, but for now I want to share the approximate earning potential of a camgirl.

As I mentioned, it is quite difficult to average out camming earnings, because of a slew of factors influencing it, but for a camgirl who is semi-established and has the basics down (like a good webcam, lights, and a reliable laptop), she can expect to make…

Around $50 an hour. Some days you’ll make $100/hr or more, some days will be a total bust and you’ll end up with just a few bucks in an hour spent on cam. This figure is mostly based on camming on MFC, but Chaturbate closely follows it. On CB, the higher tips are less common, but tips in general are more consistent, versus MFC where tips can be very up and down, but high tips are common, especially if you have a loyal following. This figure considers that you do private shows in addition to public chat, which can be very lucrative. If you’re camming on other sites like Camsoda, for example, your earnings will vary, since it’s still an up-and-coming site and not the most established yet. I do see a lot of potential in it, so check out my post on how to get started.

how much money webcam models earn

So, with $50/hr you’re earning a good income, but how much you are able to earn a week or a month depends on your camming consistency and how many hours you are willing to put in each shift. Don’t think it is easy to do an 8-hour work day on cam like you would at a regular job. You might be able to pull it off once in a while, but it’s tough physically and mentally. A more “standard” shift is a few hours long, perhaps 3 or 4 hours. So, going by the hourly wage calculation, you can expect to make around $150-200 a day. Working every day is also not the easiest thing to do, and many girls take multiple days off during the week to relax and do offline things.

If you’re consistent with your camming and don’t burn out (Read my post about camming burnout), you can make approximately $1,000 a week and therefore $4,000 a month. This figure is, of course, your earnings before taxes and you will need to save about 15-30% of your income, so that you’re not stuck with a huge bill come tax time. Read about the deductions you can make as a camgirl here. I will also discuss the investment strategies and ways to save and grow your money in a future post.

So, there you have it. The mystique is gone. You can can compare what you can potentially make with camming versus other jobs. Don’t forget that unlike a “normal” job, webcamming unfortunately still carries a lot of stigma and you have to deal with a variety of safety issues that are not present in office jobs. You also have a limited career span, and so you really need to consider your options and what your *future* options may be once you leave/retire from camming.

Camming can be an incredible job and it is what you make it. There are many girls who become incredibly successful, because they develop a loyal member base and continuously reinvent themselves to keep things interesting. Some make well into the six figures annually, but they’re more the exception to the rule and you may find yourself disappointed if you’re counting on making as much, especially in the beginning.

⋆ SkyPrivate Review: What You Need to Know

As a camgirl, you have to be extra vigilant about non-paying members and scammers, particularly when it comes to Skype shows. It’s easy to be scammed in this way, since members will promise to pay you in tokens after the show, or even send a fake Amazon gift card as payment, and never follow through. However, Skype shows are SUCH great ways to earn extra income, either on top of your camming income or to replace it if things are going slowly on cam. This is where SkyPrivate comes in. Camgirl Blogs: How to Make One and Are They Worth It?

camgirl blogs

Camgirls and Blogging: A Match Made in Heaven?

Blogs are not only a great way to express your innermost thoughts, but for a cam girl they can be yet another way to earn income and create stronger, longer-lasting  relationships with members.

The question you need to ask yourself is: Is it worth it? Is making more money through increased interest, popularity and camroom traffic worth the time spent on a blog? It can be, if you love writing and sharing your thoughts on paper. Blogs can be very low-key and non-committal (unlike maintaining a paid membership site – You can read about them here), and if you like being creative and want an outlet for your thoughts, making a blog might just be right for you! It’s an underrated way for camgirls to foster better relationships wither her regulars while also making money semi-passively. A good example of a camgirl blog is Kickaz’s wordpress blog where members can get a more intimate look into her life and she can write about things she can’t fully express when she’s online.

I’m Interested! How do I Begin?

It’s really easy to get started with blogging, and you don’t need any specific skills and coding knowledge to get your blog up within literally minutes. Here is what you need to consider:

  1. Decide whether your blog will have PG content or if you’ll be posting NSFW pictures and videos of yourself. This will determine hosting provider you go with, as many don’t allow adult content to be posted.
  2. Decide whether you want to go with a free blog platform like WordPress (no ability to have ads, less customizability, “.wordpress.com” extension, no adult content) or Wix OR whether you want to have a self-hosted blog where you can choose your hosting company, have ads that earn you money, much more customization, and the ability to post adult content.

So, if you want to go with totally free blogging platform (remember, no adult content!), try out WordPress, Blogger, or Wix that has some really cool themes and is very easy to set up on.

However, my recommendation is to always go with a self-hosted blog, as it allows you complete control over your content and that is in addition to you having your own custom domain name (i.e. www.sexylexy.com NOT www.sexylexy.wordpress.com).

Which Hosting Company Should I Choose?

There are a number of hosting companies to pick from, and any of the ones listed below are a great choice. So, pick out your hosting provider, which will then take you through the install and integration with WordPress – a really easy process.

Allow Adult Content: HostGator, Dreamhost, GoDaddy

Allow Non-Adult Content: Bluehost. Great option if you want to keep your naked stuff on camsite only!

These hosting providers come with options like WHOIS protection, domain registration, storage, backups, anti-spam security.

Ok, So How Do I Make Money?

Aside from just posting blog-style content and interacting with your members in comments, how can you earn money from blogs?

  • Sell panties, various items (baked goods, crafts, art!), Skype dates, whatever you can think of! Always clearly display your tip link.
  • Generate interest for you OnlyFans account!
  • Have all of your social media links,  your cam profile, and your Amazon wishlist in one place, so that members can easily reach you and tip you.
